KERIONICS is offering an exciting new position opportunity for an ambitious scientist or engineer eager to join a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team of scientists and engineers in the New Product Introduction process and play a key role in developing innovative products for launch.
This role is ideal for someone with a flexible, hands-on approach and a broad skill set, but the most importantly experienced in modelling methods. The candidate will be responsible for Computational Fluid Dynamics and thermal modelling of the stacks for solid oxide electrolyser (SOEC), ensuring that the 3D designs meet required criteria.
To achieve that task, the person is going to be part of the multidisciplinary stack design engineering team where his/her main goal would be to model the physical processes occurring inside the stack. Based on the results of modelling, the person should deliver the feedback for the team about the CFD and thermal parameters at the design stage before proceeding to the design validation in the operational environment. In addition to that, the person is expected to cooperate closely with the testing team and external components suppliers with aim of exchanging feedback about the design improvements.
Responsibilities:
· Take full accountability for the development of CFD and thermal models of Solid Oxide Electrolysis stacks and system components
· Take part in the solid oxide electrolysis stack development, system development and testing activities
· Facilitate technology transfer and provide training to internal colleagues to ensure smooth implementation.
· Take part in establishing and maintaining collaboration with external components suppliers
· Ensure that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with safety standards.
· Perform all activities related to the job description to the highest standards of quality and precision.
Other Key Responsibilities:
· Propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
· Participate in Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
· Provide support for all engineering divisions of Kerionics including Membrane Electrode Assembly, Stack, Balance of Plant, System.
· Establish strong working relationships with teams at our collaborator’s Centre of Competence and ensure effective information flow between teams.
