As an AM Data Operator (Business Data Steward) at Helvetia, you will learn a pivotal role in managing and ensuring the quality and usability of data used in our asset management department. You will gather and define requirements related to data quality and ensuring their successful implementation across data pipelines. You will support the technical data stewards and various stakeholders to maintain a high level of data integrity across the platforms we maintain (Aladdin, NeoXam and SAP) and support efficient data-driven decision-making processes. You will be responsible for the creation of gold copy data across various data domains on a day-to-day basis. In addition, you will provide support to Middle Office and Front Office in BlackRock internal applications in an operations team of 3 members.
You will learn to:
Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and translate them into clear and actionable requirements, including data quality requirements.
Gather, document, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of data usage, data sources, and data lineage within the asset management department.
Operate our data management platforms on a daily basis ensuring data quality for all data domains under responsibility (financial instruments, company data, ESG data, market data, etc.)
Partner with technical data stewards to ensure the implementation of data quality requirements across data pipelines and systems.
Collaborate with Data Integration and Data Quality teams to develop and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures.
Monitor data quality and resolve data-related issues promptly, ensuring adherence to data governance practices.
Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
Participate in data-related projects and initiatives, providing input and expertise to ensure successful outcomes.
Provide training and support to end-users on data-related tools, systems, and processes.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data management and asset management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Data Management, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
Interest in data management, data governance, or a related field in the asset management industry.
Some understanding of major financial instruments and asset classes (equity, fixed income, funds, structured products, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Strong level of English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering accurate and reliable data.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
