Controlador SMC (Satellite Monitoring Control)

Dependiente de la Dirección Técnica, el profesional a contratar formará parte del equipo de controladores de SMC (Satellite Monitoring and Control) desarrollando su trabajo en el centro de control de satélites de Arganda del Rey en un esquema de turnos para proporcionar cobertura 24/7. La misión del controlador de SMC es monitorizar el estado y ejecutar operaciones en los satélites de la flota Hispasat, con el objetivo de asegurar una disponibilidad continua de las distintas misiones embarcadas. Tendrá como principales responsabilidades: * Superar la formación específica en operaciones de satélite, segmento terreno y centro de control. * Monitorizar la salud de los satélites y subsistemas asociados, así como del segmento terreno y centro de control, asegurando su funcionamiento nominal. * Supervisar el sistema de tierra asegurando la disponibilidad de la cadena de comando, recepción continua de telemetría y medidas de distancia. * Enviar comandos y ejecutar procedimientos de acuerdo con los manuales de operación y directrices de ingeniería de operaciones, Ingeniería de Segmento Terreno e Ingeniería de Sistemas para realizar operaciones nominales tales como maniobras, cambios de configuración de carga útil, mantenimientos periódicos, configuración del segmento terreno de control y del centro de control de satélites. * Reportar las actividades realizadas y eventos ocurridos en el transcurso del turno. * Reconocer y dar respuesta a anomalías, activando los soportes de ingeniería de operaciones de satélite, de segmento terreno de control y/o de centro de control, y ejecutando las acciones de contingencia que se decidan. * Apoyar a Ingeniería de Operaciones de Satélite, de Segmento Terreno y de Centro de Control en las tareas que se requieran. * Realizar una formación continua en las distintas áreas de aplicación: satélite, segmento terreno y software asociado al centro de control. * Asumir las responsabilidades adicionales que se determinen en lo referente al desarrollo de las actividades operativas del área SMC.

El puesto se encuadra dentro de la Gerencia de Ingeniería de Segmento Terreno y Mantenimiento Radiofrecuencia, perteneciente a la Dirección Técnica, con dependencia directa del Gerente del área. To be part of this project, we are looking for Ground Station Senior Engineer a whose responsibilities will be as follows: Responsibilities: * Lead the analysis, design, and specification of Project TTC Ground Stations and Communication Gateways, Ground Monitoring & Control Systems. * Define implementation and test plans for Ground Station Subsystem (TTC and Communication Gateways) Perform transmission analysis, in particular link/level budget calculations, block/design drawing, and other detailed/complex studies. * Generation of RFP documents as well as the preparation and execution of factory and site acceptance tests. * Technical follow-up of subcontractors activities related to design, requirements compliance, development and validation of the subsys-tems. * Support to higher level integration of the subcontractor subsystems in the system * During operational phase, being technical point of contact for any anomalies that might occur and support the technical resolution of the issues.

S3C/IOPS Senior Engineer - IRIS2
Hispasat, as part of the SpaceRISE consortium, is responsible for the technical implementation and ensuring the success of the IRIS² project, leveraging its extensive experience in satellite communications. This collaboration is essential to provide secure and reliable high-performance communication solutions to the European Union and its member states. To be part of this project, we are looking for S3C/IOPS Senior Engineer a whose responsibilities will be as follows: Responsibilities: * Concept, design, development and technical procurement of Satellite Control Centers and Operations Center and its adaptation for gov-ernmental and commercial applications: * Conduct and follow-up conceptual design activities in the area of satellite control and operations center systems engineering, including but not limited to requirement, interface, user data and management data flow within the ground segment as well as TM/TC interfaces. * Establishment of requirement for satellite control center hardware (HW) and software (SW) items and their interfaces to other ground seg-ment entities, e.g. ground stations, mission control center, networks incl. IT infrastructure as well as data centers. * Elaboration of system trade-offs in the area of satellite control center systems engineering and support the overall architecture definition Requirements engineering with DOORS/JAMA in the area of the satellite and operation control centers and lower levels * In the frame of procurement activities, follow-up the development and acceptance phase from the Request For Proposal (RFP) up to the final acceptance of the Satellite Control and Operations Centers * After acceptance, follow up the integration fo Satellite Control and Operation Centers into the Ground Segment until it is delivery to the E2E IVV team. * Elaboration of verification and validation concept at satellite control center level and support of relevant tests at higher level During operational phase, being technical point of contact for any anomalies that might occur and support the technical resolution of the issues. * Elaboration of the operations concept as well as preparation of operational requirements and operational products (Flight & Ground Oper-ations Procedures) for the satellite control and operations center

Satellite Operations Engineering Team Leader

We are looking for a Satellite Operations Engineering Team Leader to lead the operations of Hispasat’s GEO satellite fleet. This role combines technical expertise in flight dynamics and platform/payload operations with team leadership, strategic coordination, and operational responsibility for fleet performance. You will guide a team of engineers in the planning, execution, and optimization of in-orbit operations, and act as the key liaison between operations, engineering, ground segment, and manufacturers. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the Satellite Operations Engineering team, maintaining high performance, effective collaboration, and continuous development of team members. * Promote and reinforce a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence, ensuring that operational procedures are rigorously followed and continuously improved * Oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the GEO satellite fleet to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted mission execution. * Supervise and validate flight dynamics activities, including orbit determination, station-keeping manoeuvres and collision risk assessments. * Coordinate operational interfaces with internal teams (e.g., PMC, Ground Segment) and external stakeholders, including satellite manufacturers. * Support effective monitoring and analysis of platform and payload subsystems by the operations team, enabling early anomaly detection, performance trending, and operational continuity. * Drive the development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of operational tools, automation processes, and mission databases. * Manage the complete anomaly lifecycle, from detection to resolution, including root cause analysis, reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. * Provide technical leadership to engineers and satellite controllers, including oversight of training programs and skills development. * Consolidate and present fleet-level reports, summarizing satellite health, subsystem performance, anomalies, and operational KPIs to internal stakeholders and management. * Lead knowledge transfer efforts across satellite missions and generations, promoting internal documentation, standardization, and best practices. * Coordinate and lead the response to critical operational events such as anomaly recovery, satellite relocation, and end-of-life operations. * Coordinate the operational support for new satellite missions, including LEOP/IOT preparation, satellite operations, flight dynamics, satellite control centres and transition into routine service. * Take on additional responsibilities to support the continuous evolution of satellite operations and alignment with company-wide objectives.
