OKU Hotels is a boutique collection of soulfully-curated, laidback luxury hotels, created for the modern traveler. Meticulously designed sanctuaries are conceived with barefoot luxury, local connections and slow living at heart.

OKU Hotels is headquartered in London, with current properties operating in Ibiza and Kos, and a confirmed pipeline of hotels set to open in Turkey, Spain and the Maldives. OKU is targeting to own and/or operate a collection of over ten exquisite properties in new and captivating destinations worldwide, over the next five years.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

* Maintain and care for the hotel's gardens and green areas, ensuring their beauty and health.
* Perform gardening tasks such as mowing lawns, pruning trees and shrubs, and planting flowers and plants.
* Water and fertilize plants and lawns, ensuring their optimal growth.
* Handle and maintain gardening tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition.
* Keep the hotel's outdoor areas clean and tidy, including removing debris and fallen leaves.
* Identify and treat plant pests and diseases.
* Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure the gardens are in optimal condition for events and guests.
* Maintain irrigation systems in good working order.
* Perform minor repairs in the hotel's outdoor areas.
* Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

* Previous experience in gardening, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
* Knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
* Ability to handle gardening tools and equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of chemical products and fertilizers (desirable).
* Organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

RESPONSABILIDADES DEL PUESTO

* Mantener y cuidar los jardines y áreas verdes del hotel, asegurando su belleza y salud.
* Realizar tareas de jardinería como cortar el césped, podar árboles y arbustos, y plantar flores y plantas.
* Regar y fertilizar las plantas y el césped, asegurando su crecimiento óptimo.
* Manejar y mantener las herramientas y equipos de jardinería, asegurando su buen estado.
* Mantener las áreas exteriores del hotel limpias y ordenadas, incluyendo la eliminación de desechos y hojas caídas.
* Identificar y tratar plagas y enfermedades de las plantas.
* Colaborar con otros departamentos del hotel para asegurar que los jardines estén en óptimas condiciones para eventos y huéspedes.
* Mantener los sistemas de riego en buen estado.
* Realizar pequeñas reparaciones en las áreas exteriores del hotel.
* Asegurar el cumplimiento de todas las normas de seguridad y salud en el trabajo.

* Experiencia previa en jardinería, preferiblemente en un entorno hotelero o similar.
* Conocimiento de técnicas de jardinería y cuidado de plantas.
