Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced QA Engineer to join their dynamic team in Madrid. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the quality of software products by designing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and documenting bugs, and collaborating closely with the development team to ensure prompt issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of software testing methodologies, a detail-oriented approach, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated test cases for Android and web applications.


• Set up and manage testing environments using Android devkits and emulators.


• Execute automated regression, functional, and performance tests.


• Verify application functionality, usability, performance, and security.


• Conduct compatibility testing across various browsers and devices.


• Analyze test results to identify areas of improvement within applications.


• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and enhance product quality.


• Manage and maintain device farms to support testing needs.

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or Kotlin for creating automated test scripts.


• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestComplete.


• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Testrails) and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).


• Strong knowledge of Android application testing, including experience across different Android OS versions and devices.


• Experience with frameworks like Appium, Espresso, or UI Automator for automated test execution.


• Skilled in configuring and utilizing Android SDK, emulators, and virtual devices for testing purposes.


• Understanding of CI/CD processes to integrate automated testing within development workflows.


• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Android and web applications.


• Full professional proficiency in English.
