World-leading textile and fasteners manufacturer is seeking a Senior R&D Enginner for its plant located in Barcelona.
Lead the development of new technologies and products, focusing on spun bond, SMS, and hook-engageable materials.
Drive innovation in non-woven material properties to improve durability, functionality, and sustainability for applications in hygiene, medical, and industrial markets.
Design and oversee experiments, analyze complex data, and manage multiple projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, product design, and manufacturing teams to transition concepts to production.
Mentor junior engineers and scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
Initiate and manage external collaborations/contracts relevant to project goals
Present research findings and technical insights to senior leadership and stakeholders
Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, identifying opportunities to integrate new technologies into the company.
Practice legal boundaries surrounding information sharing and documenting (lead brainstorming for intellectual property, review legal agreements, develop patentable concepts and submit IP disclosures)

Requisitos mínimos
PhD, Ms, or Bs with 10+ years of experience in non-woven fabric R&D.
Expertise in spun bond, SMS, and hook-engageable materials; additional experience in plastic extrusion or injection molding is a plus.
Proven track record of innovation, including Intellectual Property generation and industry-impacting research.
Deep knowledge of material testing standards, quality control, and non-woven industry regulations.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Minitab, and SolidWorks.
High level of English and Spanish languages proficiency.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).
