Important multinational Group is looking for a Finance Controller Manager, based in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have around 15-20 years of experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in FP&A/ Business Controlling. Experience in a medium size multinational matrix organization. SAP knowledge is desirable. Very high English level is a must. Team management experience is a must. Workplace type: Hybrid. Availability to travel sporadically.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following responsibilities:Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning cycles.


• Deliver insightful variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and drive financial performance management.


• Provide scenario modelling and business cases for commercial initiatives and investments.

Management Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing in collaboration with Shared Service Centers.


• Prepare financial reports and presentations for local and regional management.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure full compliance with IFRS Rules and Group Internal Guidelines


• Act as the main contact for internal and external audits, including coordination and resolution of findings.

Internal Controls

• Maintain and improve internal control frameworks.


• Ensure segregation of duties, risk assessment, and control documentation is maintained.

Cost Control & Efficiency

• Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives and operational improvements.


• Monitor working capital, particularly inventory, receivables, and payables performance.

Business Partnering

• Partner with Sales, Operations, HR, and Service teams to support business initiatives and profitability analysis.


• Provide ad hoc financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.

Team Management

• Lead a team of controllers

• Salary package: Around 75.000 - 80.000 euros fixed salary + bonus + fringe benefits.

• MBA or Master in finance will be considered as a plus.


• 15-20 years of experience in Finance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role in FP&A/ Business Controlling.


• Previous experience working in a Big 4 will be a plus.


• Experience in a medium size multinational matrix organization.


• Broad experience analyzing financial statements.


• Experience with the month-end/year end close process and reporting.


• Planning and organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.


• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (Spanish GAAP). IFRS knowledge will be a plus.


• Very high English level is mandatory.


• Expert-level Excel and financial modeling skills.


• Proficiency in ERP systems and reporting tools. SAP knowledge is highly desirable.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• Availability to travel sporadically (national and international).
