??About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Energy Management and PPA, this person will focus on structuring and negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with a variety of counterparts — including utilities, corporates, and energy traders — ensuring that both the risk allocation and commercial terms support the company’s strategic objectives. To inform and strengthen these negotiations, the candidate will monitor and analyze electricity market trends, price drivers, and regulatory developments across existing and target geographies.
??Responsibilities:
* Lead the origination, structuring and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with utilities, corporates, and traders, ensuring optimal risk allocation and commercial terms aligned with the company’s strategy.
* Develop and execute pricing and hedging strategies to optimize risk and value across the company’s energy portfolio.
* Serve as the principal point of contact between Abei Energy and external stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of clear, strategic guidance to internal teams to support alignment with contractual obligations and broader commercial goals.
* Help to define business strategies to optimize the revenues from the sale of renewable energy with our Portfolio, helping to negotiate the different energy contracts.
* Monitoring and analyzing the public and/or private RFPs or auctions for renewable energy.
* Tracking and monitoring of energy markets and evaluation of Future Market Spot (OMIP, EEX…) and evaluation of pool prices studies, curtailment risks, grid transmission issues and other market constraints.
* Analysis and research of the energy market in the new potential geographies, as well as being updated on Abei Energy’s current ones. Understanding of price calculation, current renewable regulation and possible variables and sensitivities affecting its development (energy sales, quantitative analysis of demand, pricing, regulatory risks / impact analysis, geopolitical situation, etc).
* Study of the different revenue lines of renewable plants, batteries and hybridizations.
Requisitos mínimos
??Requirements:
* Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering (Industrial, Energy, Mining, Electrical or similar) or Economics.
* Spanish and English B2 - C1 level
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
* Proven track record in negotiating, structuring, and finalizing energy contracts
* Advanced use of the Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Power BI knowledge is a plus
