Our client is one of Europe's leading owners and operators of logistics real estate. With a diversified portfolio of assets in key strategic locations, the company specializes in the management, development, and optimization of high-quality logistics spaces.

The portfolio managed by the Technical Manager has around 30 assets and more than 500k sq. meters.

The Technical Manager based in Barcelona will be responsible for managing Capex schemes and supporting third-party property managers on Repair & Maintenance works. The Technical Manager will report to the Director, Technical Management.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee the Capex program within the existing portfolio.


• Support of third-party property managers in managing R&M projects on daily basis.


• Preparation of both Spanish and English language reports showing status of progress, cost and quality of R&M projects.


• Working closely with customers and service suppliers ensuring effective and proactive management of R&M projects, establishing a trusted point of contact with tenants and suppliers.


• Support the asset teams in managing technical issues on existing assets.


• Coordinate and monitor external supplier(s) performance and manage contracts to ensure optimal service, cost control and compliance.


• Coordinate and monitor cash flow for individual Capex schemes.


• Support on annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Capex.


• Provide feedback to the teams to optimise future property design from a maintenance perspective.


• Support permitting processes concerning R&M Capex projects with the support of external consultants and property managers.


• Support the implementation and maintenance of an efficient and suitable asset technical documentation archive.


• A good understanding of current European sustainability and energy directives such as BREEAM/LEED certifications.

• Industry specific degree/Engineer/Architect/Technical Architect or member of an industry body such as the Institute of Chartered Builders or Surveyors.


• A minimum of 5 years of post-degree or chartered experience in construction works within a contractor, engineering, or property management consultancy.


• Experience in manageing projects for the Logistics and Industrial sector is a plus.


• Strong knowledge in construction and Property Management services, keen motivation to develop experience in the logistics real estate market.


• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.


• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations, rules, and quality standards for the Spanish market.


• Ability to demonstrate good leadership, coordination, and communication skills with internal and external teams.


• Strong work ethic with drive and determination to thrive in a demanding work environment and to meet tight deadlines.


• Ability to travel with some overnight stays.


• Bilingual Spanish is required.


• Minimum English level: B2.


• Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, etc.


• Advanced knowledge of design and management software packages (CAD, MS Project, etc.).
