Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist Cloud & IT to support all Marlink Group business units, working alongside Product Managers and Solution Architects. This role will focus on specialized solution selling through a consultative approach, positioning Marlink’s Cloud & IT go to market (GTM) offerings and value added services including:


• Advisory Services

• Professional Services

• Support Services

• Managed Services

This role will cover Cloud & IT Modern Applications (DevOps), Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, Data & AI, and Security, with a primary focus on the Edge Ecosystem, integrating Marlink’s IoT, networking, communication, applications and cybersecurity GTM offerings for complex, remote industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development & GTM Strategy Execution:


Develop and execute Cloud & IT sales strategies aligned with Marlink’s GTM offerings, supporting all Marlink Group business units.


Drive consultative solution selling, positioning Marlink’s cloud and IT capabilities as business enablers for shipping, cruise, energy, mining, humanitarian aid, yachting, oil and gas, and government.


Identify and engage key decision makers, including CIOs, CTOs, Fleet IT Directors, IT Managers, and Operations Leaders.


Support cross selling and integration of Marlink’s IoT, networking, communication, applications and cybersecurity solutions within Cloud & IT sales opportunities.


Collaborate with regional sales teams, pre sales engineers, and strategic partners to drive pipeline growth and revenue acceleration.


Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target industries (mining, oil and gas, energy, humanitarian aid, government, maritime)


Build and maintain strong relationships with potential strategic vendor/channel partnerships.


Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C level executives, IT leaders, and operational managers.


Develop and execute account plans to drive revenue growth and market penetration.


• Cloud & IT GTM Offering Development:


Collaborate with Product Leads to create new hybrid multi cloud and modern IT GTM offerings that support remote and mission critical industries.


Co develop hybrid multi cloud and modern IT managed services that optimize performance, security, and cost for AWS, Azure, and GCP deployments.


Assist in defining the multi cloud value propositions, pricing models, and sales enablement strategies to support Marlink’s business units.


Work with strategic cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google) and technology partners like HPE, Veeam, Commvault, Cisco, NetApp, Nutanix, PureStorage etc. to align Marlink’s solutions with industry specific cloud transformation initiatives.


•Business Analysis:


Conduct in depth analysis of customer needs, pain points, and business challenges.


Translate customer requirements into actionable insights for solution design and GTM strategy.


Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.


•Partner Ecosystem & Sales Enablement:


Engage with hyperscale cloud service providers (Azure, AWS and Google), security vendors, technology vendors and services partners to drive co selling and bundled solutions.


Support internal teams with sales enablement, training, and GTM collateral development for cloud and IT offerings.


Develop white papers, case studies, and reference architectures that reinforce Marlink’s value in Cloud & IT for remote industries.


•Customer Success & Managed Services Growth:


Drive adoption and expansion of Marlink’s managed services for Cloud & IT, including:



?IT Service Management


?Managed Public, Private, Edge Cloud & Infrastructure


?Cloud Security & Compliance Services


?Remote IT Operations & Monitoring


?Data Analytics & AI Managed Services


Work with Marlink’s Service Delivery teams to ensure customer success, continuous innovation, and service optimization.

•Enterprise Architecture Solutioning:


Design and propose end to end cloud and IT architecture solutions with related service (development, advisory, professional, support or managed) offerings that align with customer business objectives and Marlink’s strategic goals.


Collaborate with the product and innovation team to develop customized GTM offerings for target industries.


Ensure GTM offerings are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.


•Consultative Solution Selling & Customer Engagement:


Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on cloud and IT solutions and services.


Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts to showcase the value of Marlink’s offerings.


Negotiate and close deals, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and Marlink’s profitability goals.


Lead technical and business discovery sessions, understanding customer challenges in remote and complex environments and mapping them to Marlink’s Cloud & IT solutions.


Work closely with Product Managers and Solution Architects to customize cloud and IT solutions that align with specific industry use cases.


Present and demonstrate Marlink’s Cloud & IT services, including:



? Hybrid Multi Cloud Strategy (AWS, Azure, GCP integration)


?Cloud & IT Modern Applications (DevOps, Containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines)


?Public, Private & Edge Cloud Infrastructure

?Edge & Distributed Cloud Architectures

?Modern Workplace & Digital Collaboration (VDI, Microsoft 365, Telephony and Video Intelligence)

?Data & AI (Edge AI, Big Data Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, AI driven Automation)

?Security (Zero Trust Architecture, Secure Access, Managed Security, OT/IT Convergence)

Assist customers in building business cases and ROI models for Cloud & IT transformation.

Requisitos mínimos
Technical & Sales Expertise:


•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. MBA or MSc is preferred.


•10+ years of experience in technical sales, enterprise architecture, or cloud solution consulting within Cloud and IT industries.


•Deep understanding of Cloud & IT solution areas:


?Digital and App Innovation: CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerization, cloud native development.


?Infrastructure: Hybrid multi cloud, edge/fog workloads, high availability computing and datacenters.


?Data & AI: Machine learning, big data, edge analytics, AI driven automation.


?Modern Workplace: Video Intelligent Systems, End User computing, Collaboration and Productivity, and Telephony.
