??About the Role:

As an Environmental Technician, you will collaborate closely with the project development team. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the environmental viability of land projects for Abei Energy's development initiatives in Italy and monitor their development, collaborating with the Project Managers, during the permitting phase.


??Your responsibilities will be:

* Conduct detailed analyses of potential land areas for renewable energy projects throughout Italy (wind farms, photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems, and data centers).
* Analyze how environmental conditions in these areas impact regulatory hurdles, permits, and available land area.
* Research and interpret current federal/state laws and county/city ordinances. Determine how these laws impact the feasibility of potential projects.
* Understand permitting and regulatory procedures, summarize, and communicate findings to department managers.
* Use geospatial analysis tools to manipulate and analyze vector and raster data.
* Create, export, and organize spatial data to assist land developers and engineering departments in project definition.

Requisitos mínimos
??What we expect from you:

* Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, etc.), Land Planning, related fields, and/or a Master's degree.
* Experience with QGIS and Geospatial analysis tools (Google Earth Pro, ArGIS, etc.).
* Advanced use of the Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Team player with problem solving, interpersonal skills, plus good written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience reviewing or conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
* English B2 level is mandatory, Spanish will be a plus!
