En Ceit ofrecemos la posibilidad de realizar un Trabajo de fin de Máster (TFM) en el grupo de transporte y mobilidad sostenible.
En la era de la movilidad inteligente, los vehículos autónomos representan una innovación transformadora que promete redefinir el transporte urbano y mejorar la seguridad vial. Sin embargo, para que estos vehículos operen de manera efectiva y segura, es vital desarrollar y ajustar sistemas avanzados de percepción y decisión que puedan interpretar y reaccionar adecuadamente, especialmente en entornos impredecibles como obras en la carretera o incidentes de tráfico. Los simuladores juegan un papel crucial en este proceso, proporcionando un entorno controlado y flexible donde los algoritmos de percepción y decisión pueden ser evaluados y refinados sin los riesgos asociados a las pruebas en el mundo real. Existe una amplia gama de simuladores con diferentes prestaciones.
Uno de los más extendidos es el simulador CARLA, una plataforma de código abierto que permite la simulación realista de entornos urbanos y escenarios de tráfico complejos. La adaptación de simuladores como CARLA para replicar condiciones de tráfico diversas y escenarios variados es esencial para garantizar que los vehículos autónomos sean capaces de manejar situaciones imprevistas y tomar decisiones óptimas y seguras.
En este TFM se pretende desarrollar una interfaz con el simulador CARLA para realizar maniobras automatizadas en entornos controlados. Aunque se pretende validar el simulador con algunas maniobras (por ejemplo, seguimiento de líneas, cambio de carril, etc.), el objetivo principal es implementar una simulación con sensores Lidar y cámaras (ya disponibles en CARLA) para el control teleoperado de un vehículo. El proyecto se desarrollará dentro del grupo TMS del CEIT, con sede en el parque de Miramón (San Sebastián).
