El Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica y Materiales de la Escuela de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Navarra (Tecnun) busca un candidato para realizar una tesis doctoral centrada en explorar la utilización de la computación cuántica para la resolución de algoritmos de Machine Learning presentes en el sector ferroviario.
En un primer momento se quiere realizar un análisis de las aplicaciones/algoritmos más relevantes (quantum machine learning, optimización,…) y del impacto que la tecnología cuántica pueda tener en el grupo CAF, de acuerdo con sus necesidades actuales y futuras.
En segundo lugar, se escogerá como ámbito de utilización el Quantum Machine Learning por su relación con estudios de redes neuronales que actualmente se están llevando a cabo en el marco de otra tesis doctoral. Se trabajará en la transformación del problema industrial real actual al marco de los ordenadores quánticos y su posterior resolución. Es de esperar que para realizar este ejemplo el problema tenga que ser simplificado, pero permitirá establecer requerimientos para su futura utilización.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials of the School Engineering of the University of Navarra (Tecnun) is looking for a candidate to carry out a doctoral thesis focused on exploring the use of quantum computing for the resolution of Machine Learning algorithms present in the railway sector.
First, an analysis of the most relevant applications/algorithms (quantum machine learning, optimization,...) and the impact that quantum technology can have on the CAF group, according to its current and future needs, will be carried out.
Secondly, Quantum Machine Learning will be chosen as a field of application because of its relation with neural network studies that are currently being carried out in the framework of another PhD. The candidate will work on the transformation of the current real industrial problem to the framework of quantum computers and its subsequent resolution. It is expected that in order to realize this example the problem will have to be simplified, but it will allow to establish requirements for its future use.

The role will have a variety of tasks from admin tasks, contract creation, timesheet management and payroll queries.
Part of the tasks will include:
* Gather contract-related documentation from different stakeholders: client, candidates, sales, local finance & other teams.
* Perform compliance checks on the information and documents received (relevance, validity, completeness, etc.).

* Provide accurate and timely responses to internal and external customer's queries & requests. A strong culture of ownership & accountability is desired.
* Capture business needs for ad hoc reports.

* Support the project team to any migration related activities.
